This week, Stadt Aachen, Germany, took delivery of their new Greentec Jaguar 40/80 6.5 tonnes chipper. Together with the delivery, we provided the Stadt Aachen team with the correct working instructions.

New to the range is the Greentec Piranha 10 stump grinder. This largest mechanically-driven stump grinder in the Piranha family is suitable for tractors with a power rating from 150 hp. With its double arm and 1000 mm grinding wheel, the machine has a very large range. This makes the Piranha 10 ideal for removing large stumps in one go without having to move the tractor. The double arm construction also makes it easy to remove stumps from slopes or ditch edges. The hydraulically adjustable protective cover minimises material splashing. By tilting the protective cover backwards, full-field milling is also possible. The standard heavy-duty dozer bar also makes it easy to close holes. The compact transport position makes the Piranha 10 easy and safe to move on the road.

This completely new version of the Jaguar 40 series comes on rubber tracks with high ground clearance. This makes hard-to-reach areas, terrain with lots of stubbles and wet areas accessible for work without damaging the ground. The machine is easy to operate with remote control. A 140 hp Stage V Doosan engine ensures maximum capacity from this compact machine. As an option, the machine can be fitted with a slewing ring (270°). The infeed can be turned quickly and easily to the material to be chipped. Also the machine can be equipped with a telescopic woodcrane, a closed infeed chain to allow easy feeding of residual material and a winch to pull the wood towards the machine.

At Ufkes Greentec, all products, which are made in our own factory, are extensively tested before they are handed over to the customer. The Ufkes test centre ensures that the quality is guaranteed and the customer can use the machine as expected. All machines, from large to small, are subjected to a thorough test. Small and large wood chippers, wood chipper combinations but also stump grinders, forestcutters and three-point linkage machines, as well as wood cranes pass the test centre. The start of each test is a visual inspection of the machine. Parts, customer-specific wishes and options are optically checked. The outcome of this first stage is whether all parts are fixed and whether the machine is complete.

Sharp knives are essential for properly, quickly and efficiently chipping of material. Generally, knives last a long time but the lifespan depends strongly on the material thath is being chipped. In addition, the knives are losing its sharpness quickly through sand and soil.

Beautiful new combination for Gebr. Naaijer in Winschoten! The combination consisting of a 400hp Valtra S394 and a Cheetah 45 chipper with Palfinger C45F84 timber crane has been fully prepared according to the customer's wishes.
